Full of Hannah's trademark charm and wit, this handmade ceramic Dog Butter Dish by Hannah Turner features her 'Barklife' design of four pet pooches ready to play amongst the trees. A scene any dog lover would adore!
The hand-drawn quality of the ‘Barklife’ design, with its simple shapes and black detailing, gives the collection a stylish mid-century feel which is complemented by the classic tones of teal blue, sage green, burnt orange and coral. With a base in a beautiful teal blue, the ceramic Dog butter dish makes a great statement piece on your breakfast table.
5% of all profits from this collection will go towards a Sri Lankan Street Dog charity called 'We Care Worldwide'. This UK-registered charity was set up in 2014 by Newcastle vet Janey Lowes to provide free veterinary care to less fortunate animals around the world – starting with the estimated 1-3 million street dogs in Sri Lanka.
Designed in the UK by Hannah Turner and lovingly handmade in Sri Lanka from high-fired stoneware ceramic with a meticulous decal decoration. Comes beautifully presented in a recycled card gift box with an illustrated sticker, and packaged in eco-friendly and plastic-free materials.
Dishwasher and microwave safe.
Approximately 8cm high x 12cm wide x 16cm long.
Hannah's ceramic tableware, planters, money boxes, trinket dishes and hanging decorations are handmade for us in Sri Lanka by a small, family-run company.
The highly-skilled workers are responsible for hand-finishing each of the designs. This involves cleaning up the raw clay as it comes out of the mould, hand-painting or sponging the under-glaze colours, carefully transporting and loading into tightly-packed kilns, and hand-decorating with screen-printed decals that add that final bit of character to each design.
Entrusting some of her signature pieces to expert hands in Sri Lanka gives Hannah the time to work on new and exciting design ideas in her Wiltshire studio.
