Made in Sri Lanka from high-fired stoneware ceramic with a decal decoration.

Our ceramic tableware, egg cups and money boxes, are handmade for us in Sri Lanka by a small, family-run company. The ornamental items are handmade in the Wiltshire workshop by Hannah.

The kitchen textiles are printed and made in the UK.

Ceramic artists well could learn a
Thing or two from Hannah Turner.
Objets d’art and tableware
Fashioned with such able flare!

It happens that we live in France
Where people generally enhance
Their tables, taking special care
In choosing stylish tableware.

We have an aunt, très raffinée,
Whose birthday looms in early May.
The lockdown caught us on the hop:
Impossible to go and shop.

Through the catalogues we sift
Searching for the perfect gift .
Everything looks so mundane:
« Cut-glass cruet? . . . Not again! »

A friend to whom we told our plight
Said «Try the Hannah Turner site.
You’ll see, there really are no words
To praise her salt and pepper birds. »

We went on line and, sure enough,
The Turner site was full of stuff
The like of which we’d never seen,
To lend a tone to soirées fines.

And there among such artefacts
As egg-cups in the shape of cats,
Exotic Toucan Cruet Set!

Now, when we have a meal chez elle
