Each year, Zero Waste Week runs from 2nd–6th September, encouraging individuals, businesses, and schools to take action and reduce their waste. It's a powerful reminder that every small change adds up — and now is the perfect time to get involved.
At the heart of Zero Waste Week is a simple idea: choose one thing you can realistically do to cut down on waste. No need for a full lifestyle overhaul — just one meaningful change can make a difference.
We think it's important to support businesses that are committed to reducing their waste, especially as when you do so, you're reducing your own landfill contributions. This also puts pressure on large businesses to consider their impact.

If you're on the hunt for eco-friendly gifts in line with your sustainability values, we'd like to reassure you that, in addition to all of our other sustainability practices, our packaging is 100% recyclable!
Everything Hannah Turner is neatly boxed in 100% recycled cardboard. To keep our designs protected in their boxes, we use recyclable decorative tissue paper or recyclable corrugated cardboard. To make sure certain designs are extra cushioned, we will also use puffed wheat packing chips. We get a few questions about these, as they look very similar to plastic packing chips. They are, in fact, totally biodegradable, and they can go in your compost!
So, there will be no nasty plastic surprises when your order arrives! Our ceramics are heirloom-worthy investment pieces, made with respect for the earth in mind. Not contributing unnecessary waste to landfills is a top priority for us.
